TAST week 47 - Portuguese border stitch

Another new stitch I learned from TAST. Thank you Sharon. I just loved this stitch and did not have to think  long for a suitable design! I am using the metallic thread for the first time and  I had difficulty stitching  the outline as the strands spread out and tangled while working.

I knew you would come up with something wonderful - as you always do. Oh, that tail!
Metallic threads give an elegant look and are perfect for the peacok, but they ARE difficult to work with.

Gorgeously stitched peacock and the Portuguese Border stitch worked great for the tail feathers!
